Countdown Timers

The Outback Navigation Information System (ONIS) incorporates two "manually set" countdown timers:

• TIMER 1 is a 120 minute countdown timer and when finished will also display the timer overrun

• TIMER 2 is a 12 hour countdown timer (accessible from the SYSTEM menu).

Both countdown timers:

• retain timer information after a ONIS restart

• retain timer information whilst the ONIS is powered down

• provide a visible and audio alert to the driver if the timer has finished 

• have setting menus that are accessed by selecting either TIMER 1 or TIMER 2 buttons which will then display an "easy to use" large button timer setting menu. If any of the large pre-set times are selected, the timer value will be updated and the screen will return automatically to the map screen.
