OUTBACK NAVIGATION INFORMATION SYSTEM
OUTBACK NAVIGATION INFORMATION SYSTEM
The Outback Navigation Information System (ONIS) logs two navigation data files whilst the OziExplorer navigation app is running, and a suite of other information:
Many companies have comprehensive driving policies and when complimented with the ONIS, these logs can be viewed randomly for driving compliance, or as required to extract data for vehicle incident reports.
ONIS logged navigation data includes:
Other ONIS viewable and downloadable logged information include the following:
Logs can also be viewed on each individual ONIS (see images below below) or viewed on a PC using EXCEL or Image Viewer (only for those logs that have .csv or .png files).
NOTE:
The internal and external SD card data logs are available to the user and the owner.
The secured area data logs are only available to the ONIS administrator and require the return of the ONIS unit to the administrator. This feature provides the owner with an additional level of data accuracy and verification independence.
The ONIS Data Logging is not designed to replace existing vehicle tracking system log data, but rather enhance the owner ability to obtain higher resolution data for incident investigation or driver behavior improvement process's.
For example:
As the ONIS does not support direct data upload, the ONIS (and / or the removable external SD card) must be returned to the owner or GPSIS for data log extraction.
(Note: the ONIS will not operate without the external SD card)
